Originally from Paris, Marie is one of those rare individuals gifted with an exceptional sense of smell, deep empathy, and remarkable intuition.

As a creative perfumer, she crafts inventive yet meticulously composed olfactory creations.

She combines the knowledge gained through classical training with her absolute freedom as an independent perfumer to orchestrate bold olfactory experiences.

Marie’s path first crossed professionally with Jean-Baptiste Mignot-Mignon, the principal founder of Atelier Mignon, several years ago. Beyond their shared passion, they have also developed a genuine and close friendship.

Marie established herself as an independent perfumer in Berlin in 2014, and then in Trieste in 2023, where she seeks to further her olfactory vision by exploring new directions in fragrance composition within her fragrance laboratory. She blends her classical French perfumery expertise with the unique spirit of the vibrant, inspiring, multicultural, and creative metropolis, as well as nature, in her creations.

After studying chemistry, Marie graduated from the prestigious ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles in 2000. She then worked for international fragrance houses in Paris, honing her craft alongside masters of the trade, first at Symrise in 2003, then at Takasago.

In addition to regularly launching her own creations under her brand Urban Scents, she also supports other brands, including Atelier Mignon, as well as museums, scientific projects, and research initiatives with her expertise and creativity.

Eager to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation, she now teaches at the perfumery school (ISIPCA) from which she graduated. Marie is a member of the International Society of Perfumer-Creators based in Paris, and the Osmothèque, the first and most important perfume conservatory in the world.
